ABSTRACT

O presente estudo teve como objetivo investigar a vivência da parentalidade por casais homossexuais, tendo como base os eixos preconizados por Houzel: exercício, experiência e prática da parentalidade. Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática de teses e dissertações defendidas entre 2009 e 2019, e acessadas na Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações. A análise qualitativa dos dados, através de análise temática dedutiva, revelou que o sentimento de família e a respectiva pertença de seus membros não está atrelada à orientação sexual, mas sim aos vínculos de amor, cuidado, educação e proteção. No entanto, pais e mães homossexuais enfrentam desafios diferenciados dos vivenciados por casais heterossexuais, como os relativos ao reconhecimento legal dos filhos, as preocupações quanto ao impacto da homoparentalidade no psiquismo filial, bem como a reação dos filhos frente à orientação sexual dos pais. Destaca-se a necessidade de mais estudos, a fim de dar maior visibilidade ao fenômeno.


This study aimed to investigate the experience of parenthood among homosexual couples, based on the axes recommended by Houzel: exercise, experience and practice of parenting. A systematic review of dissertations and theses defended between 2009 and 2019 was carried out and accessed at the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations. The qualitative analysis of the data, through deductive thematic analysis, revealed that the feeling of family and the respective belonging of its members is not linked to sexual orientation, but to the bonds of love, care, education and protection. However, homosexual fathers and mothers face different challenges from those experienced by heterosexual couples, such as those related to the legal recognition of their children, concerns about the impact of homoparenthood on the filial psyche, as well as the children's reaction to the sexual orientation of the parents. The need for further studies is highlighted in order to give greater visibility to the phenomenon.

ABSTRACT

Parentification involves a role reversal phenomenon between family subsystems, including role distortions and hierarchy inversion. The purpose of this study was to adapt and search for validity evidence of the Parentification Questionnaire for the Brazilian context. After translation procedures, the authors applied the instrument in 868 adults of four geographic regions of Brazil, of which 55.4 percent were women. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses revealed the solution of three parentification factors (i.e., emotional parenting, instrumental parenting and perceived unfairness) as adequate, with satisfactory internal consistency rates, following the construct theory. As expected, the authors also found relations with other variables; for example, people who presented parentification indicators in their speeches displayed higher levels in the three factors of the construct; while women displayed higher levels of parentification than men. The Brazilian version of the instrument showed satisfactory validity evidence and appropriate reliability indicators. (AU)


A parentalização compreende um fenômeno de reversão de papéis entre os subsistemas familiares, incluindo distorções de papéis e inversão de hierarquia. Este estudo teve como objetivos adaptar e buscar evidências de validade do Questionário sobre a Parentalização para o contexto brasileiro. Após procedimentos de tradução, o instrumento foi aplicado em 868 adultos de quatro regiões do Brasil, sendo 55,4% mulheres. Análises fatoriais exploratórias e confirmatórias revelaram a solução de três fatores para a parentalização (i.e., parentalização emocional, parentalização instrumental e percepção de injustiça) como adequada, com satisfatórios índices de consistência interna, consonante com a teoria sobre o construto. Também se encontraram relações com outras variáveis conforme esperado, por exemplo, as pessoas que apresentavam indicadores de parentalização no discurso mostraram maiores níveis nos três fatores do construto; já as mulheres mostraram maiores níveis de parentalização do que os homens. A versão brasileira do instrumento apresentou satisfatórias evidências de validade e indicadores adequados de fidedignidade. (AU)


La parentalización comprende un fenómeno de reversión de roles entre los subsistemas familiares, incluyendo distorsiones de roles e inversión de jerarquía. Este estudio tuvo como objetivos adaptar y buscar evidencias de validez del Inventario sobre la Parentalización para el contexto brasileño. Después de procedimientos de traducción, el instrumento fue aplicado en 868 adultos de cuatro regiones de Brasil, siendo 55,4% mujeres. Análisis factoriales exploratorias y confirmatorias revelaron la solución de tres factores para la parentalización (i.e., parentalización emocional, parentalización instrumental y percepción de la injusticia) como adecuada, con índices de consistencia interna satisfactorios, consonante con la teoría sobre el constructo. Conforme esperado, también se encontraron relaciones con otras variables, por ejemplo: las personas que presentaban indicadores de parentalización en el discurso mostraron niveles más altos en los tres factores del constructo; ya mujeres mostraron niveles más altos de parentalización que los hombres. La versión brasileña del instrumento presentó satisfactorias evidencias de validez e indicadores adecuados de confiabilidad. (AU)

ABSTRACT

El objetivo de este trabajo fue describir e interpretar las TS de la convivencia escolar, de un grupo de padres y madres de una escuela de educación primaria chilena. Se utilizó un muestreo teórico y se aplicaron grupos de discusión y entrevistas episódicas a 16 padres y madres de una escuela de educación primaria. Los datos se analizaron mediante la técnica de la teoría fundamentada, encontrando (a) teorías subjetivas simples, pero que disponen a los padres a educar a sus hijos en convivencia; (b) factores asociados a la CE y propuestas para su mejora, (c) además de un rol parental educativo que se organiza en tres niveles para enseñar a sus hijos a convivir en la escuela. En la discusión se analiza la implicancia de estas teorías subjetivas en la convivencia escolar y el rol parental.


O objetivo deste trabalho foi descrever e interpretar as teorias subjetivas (TS) da convivência escolar (CE), de um grupo de pais e mães de uma escola de educação primária chilena. Uma amostragem teórica foi utilizada e se aplicaram grupos de discussão e entrevistas episódicas em 16 pais e mães de uma escola de educação primária. Os dados foram analisados através da técnica da teoria fundamentada (Grounded Theory), encontrando: (a) teorias subjetivas simples, mas que proporcionam aos pais educar seus filhos na convivência; (b) fatores associados à CE e propostas de melhoria; (c) além de um papel educativo dos pais que se organiza em três níveis para ensinar seus filhos a conviver na escola. Na discussão é analisada a implicação das teorias subjetivas na convivência escolar e no papel parental.


The aim of this work was to describe and to interpret subjective theories about school coexistence in a group of parents from a Chilean primary school. A theoretical sample was used, group discussions and episodic interviews were conducted to 16 parents from a primary school. Data was analyzed through grounded theory, finding (a) simple subjective theories lead parents to raise their children on an environment-based approach; (b) associated factors with school coexistence environment and emerging proposals to improve them; (c) as well as a schooling parental role that it organizes around three levels of climate schooling teaching. In the discussion section, we analyze implications of these subjective theories into schooling environment and parental role.

Resumo Este estudo teve por objetivo compreender como se dá a construção do papel parental em casais homoafetivos adotantes, considerando o contexto singular da adoção e suas implicações psicológicas, sociais e legais. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e exploratório, do qual participaram dois adultos que se encontravam em união homoafetiva e que adotaram legalmente uma criança. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas, com roteiro que abordava questões direcionadoras à investigação do desejo de ter filhos, os trâmites legais da adoção e a transição para a parentalidade. Os dados foram submetidos à análise temática, balizada pela compreensão da questão de pesquisa: a assunção do papel parental. Emergiram os seguintes temas: tomando a decisão de adotar; tecendo narrativas da adoção; aprendendo a exercer os papéis parentais; organizando a rotina doméstica. Os resultados apontam para uma definição mais igualitária de papéis parentais na família homoafetiva. A construção desses papéis, ainda que sofra influência cultural, é uma elaboração criativa da díade conjugal e da família que se constitui. Ficou evidenciado que os papéis parentais tendem a ser incorporados e exercidos de formas peculiares nas famílias homoafetivas constituídas pela via da adoção....(AU)


Abstract This study aimed to understand how the construction of the parental role in homosexual couples adopting is, considering the unique context of adoption and their psychological, social and legal implications. This is a descriptive, exploratory study, which involved two adults being in a homo-affective union and legally who adopted a child. Semi-structured interviews with a script addressing the desire to have children, and the legal procedures of adoption and of the transition to the parenthood were conducted. The data were subjected to thematic analysis, guided by the research question: the assumption of the parental role. The following topics emerged: taking the decision to adopt; weaving narratives of adoption; learning to exercise parental roles; and organizing the domestic routine. The results point to a more egalitarian definition of parental roles in homo-affective families. The construction of these roles, still suffering cultural influence, is a creative elaboration of the marital dyad and the family. Resumen Este estudio tuvo como objetivo comprender cómo es la construcción del rol de padres en las parejas homosexuales que adoptan, teniendo en cuenta el contexto único de la adopción y sus implicaciones psicológicas, sociales y legales. Se trata de un estudio exploratorio descriptivo, que involucró a dos adultos que estando en unión homo-afectiva, legalmente adoptaron a un niño. Se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas que investigaron el deseo de tener hijos, y los procedimientos legales de la adopción y de la transición a la paternidad. Los datos fueron sometidos a análisis temático, modulado por la comprensión de la pregunta de investigación: la asunción del papel de los padres. Emergieron los siguientes temas: tomar la decisión de adoptar; tejer narrativas de la adopción; aprender a ejercer funciones de los padres; y organizar la rutina doméstica. Los resultados apuntan a una definición más igualitaria de los roles de los padres en la familia homo-afectiva. La construcción de estos papeles, que sufren la influencia cultural, es una elaboración creativa de la díada conyugal y de la familia que se forma. ABSTRACT

Objetivo Identificar las nociones de cuidado y roles parentales asignados en torno al ejercicio de la paternidad en un conjunto de hombres con prácticas homoeróticas en el Área Metropolitana Centro Occidente, Risaralda. Metodología Se realizó una investigación cualitativa descriptiva, por medio de la aplicación del enfoque de curso de vida, el cual permite adentrarse en la forma como los sujetos, en el desarrollo de sus vidas individuales, realizan la comprensión de sus acciones en contextos históricos. Resultados Se encontraron reflexiones muy diversas sobre la familia y la diversidad sexual, las cuales se alejan sustancialmente de las nociones tradicionales y consanguíneas imperantes. Así mismo, se observan en las narraciones el traslado de prácticas asociadas a los géneros, las cuales dejan de ser discursos corporizados para posibilitar otras negociaciones en el marco del cuidado y la crianza. Conclusiones Se encontró que la totalidad de los hombres con prácticas homoeróticas entrevistados se sienten plenos y viven con toda intensidad no solo el hecho de ser padres, sino que asumen roles y funciones que socialmente se atribuyen a las mujeres, reestructurando paulatinamente estas nociones tradicionalmente asociadas a la crianza desde la división sexo-genérica.


Objective Identify the notions of care and parental roles assigned on the exercise of fatherhood in a set of men with homoerotic practices in the West Central Metropolitan Area, Risaralda. Methodology A qualitative descriptive study was conducted by applying the life course approach, which provides an insight into how the subjects in the development of their individual lives, made understanding their actions in historical contexts. Results very diverse reflections on the family that deviate substantially from traditional notions and consanguineous, also were found, seen in the stories the transfer of practices associated with gender, which are no longer speeches embodied to allow further negotiations in the framework care and parenting. Conclusions It was found that all the men with homoerotic practices interviewed feel full and live with intensity not only the fact of being a parent, but assume roles and functions socially women are attributed, gradually reshaping these notions traditionally associated with raising from sex-gender division

ABSTRACT

Resumo Este trabalho investigou o envolvimento de pais com seus bebês e com a creche nos seis primeiros meses de frequência do bebê no berçário. Por meio de um estudo de caso coletivo de caráter longitudinal, quatro pais responderam a entrevistas em três momentos: entrada do bebê na creche, um mês e 6 meses depois da entrada. Análise de conteúdo qualitativa indicou que tanto a creche como o desenvolvimento do bebê foram aliados do pai para a retomada do trabalho e da vida conjugal. O estudo mostra a importância de se levar em consideração as necessidades e competências do pai que está envolvido no cuidado ao bebê.


Abstract This study investigated father involvement with their babies and the child care center during the first six months after the baby entered in the day care center. It was performed a collective case study, with a longitudinal design, in which four fathers answered an interview at three moments: entry in the child care center, one month and six months later. Qualitative content analysis indicated that the day care center and the baby's development helped the father to be more involved with his work and his personal life. The present study shows the importance of taking into consideration the needs and capacity of fathers involved in infant care.

Os maus-tratos contra as crianças e adolescentes são uma das formas de violência mais grave, tanto pelo número de vítimas que faz, como pelas sequelas negativas que deixa. O presente artigo trata do tema específico da negligência, a modalidade de maus-tratos infantis mais recorrente em diversos países, incluindo o Brasil, no entanto, é pouco investigada e, por muitos, pouco conhecida. Em conta disso, esse artigo empreende-se em expor a temática da negligência com definições que possam ajudar sua compreensão, elucidar sobre as consequências negativas associadas advindas dessa modalidade de maus-tratos e mostrar a necessidade de intervenções de orientação às famílias para que a criança receba cuidados para um desenvolvimento adequado. The maltreatment of children and teenagers is the most severe forms of violence, both by the number of victims who do, as the negative consequence. ABSTRACT

O objetivo foi compreender os sentidos sobre maternidade e as vivências da gravidez em gestantes primíparas e multíparas. Foram entrevistadas seis gestantes, sendo três primíparas e três multíparas. Nas falas, foram trazidos temas como dificuldades físicas, alterações corporais, repercussão da gravidez no relacionamento conjugal, planejamento da gravidez e envolvimento paterno. Observou-se, nas primíparas, que a inexperiência trouxe insegurança, ao passo que, em algumas multíparas, houve espaço para a ambivalência pelo fato de a gravidez não ter sido planejada. Nas multíparas, houve maior preocupação em termos do impacto da gravidez na estrutura familiar. Em relação às fontes de apoio, destacou-se a participação ativa do companheiro, pai do bebê, mostrando a sua importância para o bem-estar psicológico da mulher. A categoria trimestre gestacional não se mostrou adequada para a investigação dos aspectos emocionais das gestantes, haja vista que diversos sentimentos tornaram-se mais destacados em diferentes momentos, independentemente do trimestre de gestação.


The objective was to understand the meanings of motherhood and experiences of pregnancy in primiparous and multiparous women. Six pregnant women were interviewed, three multiparous and three primiparous. In their speech, issues such as physical difficulties, bodily changes, impact of pregnancy on marital relationships, planning for pregnancy and parental involvement were mentioned. It was observed that the primiparous inexperience brought insecurity, while in some multiparous there was room for ambivalence considering the fact that pregnancy has not been planned. In multiparous, there was major concern in terms of the impact of pregnancy on the family structure. Regarding sources of support, they emphasized the active participation of the partner, the baby's father, showing its importance to the psychological well-being of women. The differentiation between trimester's stage was not significant for the investigation of the emotional aspects of pregnancy, considering that many feelings became more prominent in different moment, regardless of trimester.


El objetivo fue entender el significado de la maternidad y las experiencias de embarazo en primíparas y multíparas. Seis mujeres embarazadas y casadas fueron entrevistadas, tres multíparas y tres primíparas. En el discurso, se trajeron temas como las dificultades físicas, cambios corporales, el impacto del embarazo en las relaciones de pareja, la planificación para el embarazo y la participación de los padres. Se observó que la falta de experiencia en las primíparas he traído inseguridad, mientras que en algunas multíparas había lugar para la ambivalencia por el hecho de que el embarazo no ha sido planeado. En multíparas, hubo gran preocupación en cuanto al impacto del embarazo en la estructura familiar. En cuanto a las fuentes de apoyo, hicieron hincapié en la participación activa de la pareja, el padre del bebé, mostrando su importancia para el bienestar psicológico de las mujeres. El categoría trimestre de la gestación no fue adecuado para la investigación de los aspectos emocionales del embarazo, teniendo en cuenta que muchos sentimientos se hicieron más prominentes en cada momento, con independencia de trimestre de la gestación.

Este estudo centra-se no impacto da condição de emprego/desemprego dos pais nas crenças, comportamentos e reações de exploração vocacional e na indecisão de carreira dos adolescentes. Foram administradas o Career Exploration Survey e o Career Decision Scale a uma amostra de 321 adolescentes Portugueses, de ambos os sexos (190, 59,2% raparigas; 131, 40,8% rapazes), com idades compreendidas entre os 13 e os 17 anos. Os resultados indicam que os adolescentes filhos de pais desempregados manifestam, significativamente, crenças mais negativas acerca do mercado de trabalho, menos comportamentos exploratórios, e reações afetivas mais negativas do que os adolescentes filhos de pais empregados e, consequentemente, níveis mais elevados de indecisão vocacional. Os resultados são discutidos, retirando-se implicações para a intervenção psicológica e salientando-se direcções para futuras investigações...


This study focuses on the impact of parents' employment/unemployment condition on the beliefs, behaviors and reactions of career exploration and indecision of adolescents. Career Exploration Survey and Career Decision Scale were administered to a sample of 321 Portuguese adolescents of both sexes (190 women - 59.2% and 131 men - 40.8%) aged between 13 and 17 years. The results indicate that the adolescents whose parents are unemployed express significantly less positive beliefs about the labor market, less exploratory behaviors, and less positive emotional reactions than the adolescents whose parents are employed and, consequently, higher levels of career indecision. ABSTRACT

Este estudio examina las expectativas de roles futuros de 522 jóvenes universitarios en Santiago de Chile. Para esto, se utilizó la adaptación de un instrumento que evalúo las expectativas personales de hombres y mujeres sobre distintos roles que pueden ejercer en la vida: laboral, marital, parental y cuidado del hogar (The Life Role Salience Scales [LRSS]; Amatea, Cross, Clark & Bobby, 1986). Se evaluaron el nivel de Conservadurismo Valóri-co (Contreras & Plaza, 2004) y los datos sociodemográficos. Los análisis de regresión mostraron una preferencia masculina mayor en roles laboral y marital en comparación con las mujeres. El Conservadurismo Valórico influyó en expectativas de roles marital, parental y cuidado del hogar, mas no en el rol laboral.


This study reviews the future roles expectations in a sample of 522 young undergraduate students in Santiago, Chile. In order to do that it was administered the adaptation of the instrument (The Life Role Salience Scales [LRSS]; Amatea, Cross, Clark & Bobby, 1986) that assessed men's and women's personal expectations concerning life roles: occupational, marital, parental and homecare roles. As well the level of Valoric Conservatism (VC) was measure (Contreras & Plaza, 2004), and socio-demographic data. Regression analysis showed a male's bigger preference for work and marital roles than women. VC influenced the expectations for marital, parental and home-care roles, but it didn't influenced work role.

O presente artigo se dispõe a discutir sobre interferências do contexto histórico e sociocultural brasileiros na estruturação da família contemporânea, mais especificamente, na construção do fenômeno da “fragilização dos papéis parentais”. Partimos da literatura que constata mudanças de valores na formação da família contemporânea, que culminaram por desalojar o princípio de autoridade parental nas configurações familiares da atualidade, e demonstraremos como interferências originadas da história, das ciências e das condições socioculturais contemporâneas foram capazes de retirar dos pais um saber que, a priori, lhes pertencia. Finalmente, analisaremos as decorrências desta discussão temática para a construção de novas configurações subjetivas.


This article intends to discuss the interferences of historical, social and cultural Brazilian context in the contemporary family structuring process, more specifically, in the construction of the phenomenon “Weakening of parental role”. According to literature, the changes of values in the contemporary family shaping culminated in displacing the principle of parental authority in today’s family settings; furthermore, we demonstrate how interferences from history, science and contemporary social and cultural conditions were able to withdraw one ‘know how’ from parents, the one which previously belonged to them. Finally, we will examine the consequences of this discussion for the construction of new subjective settlements.


Este artículo pretende discutir las interferencias del contexto histórico y sociocultural brasileños en la estructuración de la familia contemporánea, de manera más específica, en la construcción del fenómeno de la “fragilización de las funciones parentales”. Partimos de la literatura que señala cambios de valores en la formación de la familia contemporánea que llevaron a desalojar el principio de autoridad parental en las configuraciones familiares de la actualidad, y demostraremos cómo las interferencias de la historia, de las ciencias y de las condiciónes socioculturales contemporáneas fueron capaces de sacar de los padres un conocimiento que, a priori, les pertenecía. Por último, analizaremos las repercusiones de esta discusión temática para la construcción de las nuevas configuraciones subjetivas.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: This study was conducted to describe the perception of parental role held by university students and to examine difference in perception of parental role according to student characteristics. METHOD: The participant were 338 university student in Gangreung city. The instrument was developed by researcher and consisted of 4 subcategories ; child rearing environment, parental sensitivity, growth and development of infant, and physical care. Data were collected from May 10 to June 1 in 2004 and were analyzed using SPSS Win 10.0 program. RESULT: The university students' perception of total parental role had a mean item score of 4.02, with 4.12 for parental sensitivity, 4.00 for child rearing environment, 4.00 for physical care and 3.95 for growth and development. There were significant differences in perception of parental role according to sex(t=-5.55, p=.00), grade(F=13.12, p=.00), type of college(F=28.34, p=.00), father's age(F=5.01, p=.00), father's education(F=5.01, p=.00), mother's education(F=3.33, p=.03) student's marriage plan(t=2.37, p=.01) main caretaker(F=9.53, p=.00) person who lived with student in childhood(F=3.62, p=.01) and student's perception of the need for education for parental role(t=3.74, p=.00). CONCLUSION: The impact of childhood experience has lifelong significance on subsequent health and development. Especially, the experience of childhood is highly affected by the quality of parental role. It is important to identify university student's perception of parental role as pre-parent preparation for parenting. Therefore, pre-parent education program are necessary.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to contribute to neonatal nursing and maternal nursing to reduce parental role stress in mothers of preterm babies and to improve perception of the newborn to by the parents. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires which were consisted of a parental role stress scale and a neonatal perception inventory. The subjects were 100 mothers of fullterm babies and 50 mothers of preterm babies, all in the early postpartum stage and admitted to three hospitals I the Kyoung-In area between November 8 1997 and May 30, 1998. The data were analyzed by a SPSS program and the results are as follows : 1. There were no significantly differences in the means for parental role stress between mothers of fullterm babies and preterm babies. The mean for perception of the newborn was significantly lower in mothers of preterm babies than in mothers of fullterm babies. 2. In mothers of preterm babies, the level of parental role stress was correlated to the one minute Apgar score. The level of perception of the newborn was correlated to gestational age and birth weight. 3. The mothers of preterm babies whose education level was above graduation from college had lower parental role stress than those who had a lowers level of education. The mothers who had experienced cesarean section had higher parental role stress than those who gave birth to their baby prematurely. The above findings indicate that mothers of preterm babies had lower perception of the newborn than mothers of fullterm babies. Therefore, nursing intervention should be provided for mothers of preterm babies to manage parental role stress and improve perception of the newborn.
